All journals subscribed to by Dartmouth are included in the Dartmouth Library Catalog.

Select Title from the Catalog menu if you know the exact title of your journal.

Start at the beginning of the title (excluding initial articles) and enter as much of the title as you want in the correct order. This is very important, since the title index searches your entry as a phrase.

TIPS: The catalog recognizes some common journal abbreviations. If you do not get any results using an abbreviation, try using full words from the title. Refer to the Abbreviations web page or consult a librarian for help with translating journal abbreviations into full titles.

A vertical bar ("|") after your entry limits the search to just the words you enter. For example, "science|" will only find the title, Science, but not Science Abstracts.

If there are too many records in your search results, you may choose to limit your list to just journal titles and/or electronic format. Choose Limit/Sort from the top menu, and then select JOURNAL: Journal/Newspaper and/or ELECTRONIC format: WEB Resource.
